With the continuous tightening of environmental policies and the upgrading of green demand in downstream applications, the domestic PVC rubber industry is undergoing profound product structure changes. According to industry monitoring data in 2026, the market share of water-based PVC adhesive has jumped from 45% in 2023 to 72.3%. Environmentally friendly products with VOC content below 50g/L have become mainstream in the market, while the market share of traditional solvent based PVC adhesive has shrunk to 27.7%, mainly used in some low-end non civilian scenarios. In terms of technological upgrading, the application of nano modification and bio based viscosity increasing agent technology has significantly improved the performance of water-based PVC adhesive. Its average tensile shear strength has reached 6.8N/mm, an increase of 41% compared to three years ago, and the curing time has been shortened to less than 25 minutes, meeting the high-efficiency production needs of building materials, packaging and other fields. On the application side, the rapid promotion of prefabricated buildings has become the core growth engine, with a year-on-year increase of 28% in demand for specialized PVC adhesive used for PVC pipe splicing and board edge sealing. The proportion of demand for high-end scenarios such as home appliance shell bonding and automotive interior assembly has also increased to 18%. Industry experts point out that in the future, PVC adhesive will develop towards solvent-free and intelligent direction, and bio based raw material substitution and online quality monitoring technology will become the key to enterprise competition.
